Thought I'd dig this one up, instead of a new thread (couldn't find any relevant posts, so apologies if this has been asked before).

I'm finding my cadence / speed sensor keeps dropping out intermittently. Not sure why exactly, as I know I don't usually bang it, and currently I'm not riding with a pannier set (this is to change).
I find a little tweak will get it working again, but wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to keep it in it's place?

I know my colleagues grew fed up of this, so they removed the sensor and wheel magnet and rely on GPS for speed etc, but hoping to train to spin higher for when I move onto my road/CX.

I did it this way:

Ensure frame and the base of the rubber mount on the sensor is clean.
Wrap some electrical tape around the chainstay where the sensor will sit.
Sit the sensor on and get those cable ties as tight as you can possibly get them.

It's much harder to move it after that

That sounds a pretty awesome way forward. Hopefully I can get the cable ties back on easily (left some room on the ends), but the electrical tape is a great idea, considering the backing has a fair bit of friction.
