I have logged a fault with garmin for my Edge 200, basically on the bottom, the one of the tabs has broken off which is used for the twist and secure mounting. Not to jazzed to be fair as I think they made a mistake putting the buttons on the side of this unit because all it has done is forced you to press hard on the side and thus force the unit up against its mount. Those with one of these may know what I mean. Anyway picture below of the damaged unit.

You are using the Garmin supplied plastic mount?

One of our members had a 500 snap too. He did get a replacement.

One thing to note is if using the k-edge and similar alloy mounts, is that any give will be at the unit not the mount. The mount should be the weakest link.

The 200 is very light too so how the big models hold up is a question. The old 705 mounts can be a bit insecure but it is the mount that breaks.

was he charged or was it covered under warranty? Like I said, I think the high range units have the buttons on top rather than the side. To me its a design flaw ?

The unit has been exchanged for a refurb, got delivered back today. Not bad as I sent it off to them on Monday via SD with Royal Mail. So good turn around!
