Not so much a good enough keeper, more of a good or naff keeper: you never knew whether he'd get it all right or all wrong. If memory serves, he was also Welsh international keeper while at Leeds.
 
IIRC Leeds U and Man. City were my first two Subbuteo teams (why, I don't know.

I tried many times to replicate a diving Sprake save. Simple fun from the '70s.

Can't stand them but I remember watching him on telly as a kid when L**ds were actually a good side. :laugh:
He made some right old howlers but then again pulled off some magnificent match saving saves.
