Good on you folks braving the (mostly) urban streets and doing your commute by bike. Here in Dorset we've mostly got it easy, with friendly farmers, LGVs and even 'ordinary' motorists who appear to acknowledge a cyclists existence (with the odd exception).
I don't know how you put up with the weather, and the aggressive, psychopathic behaviour of certain motorists.
I know you all try to keep it friendly out there, but sometimes I feel we need to be more assertive. The more we take numbers, get witnesses, and insist that the police respond to our complaints the better. And by the time a motorist has 'lost it' , there's no point in using reason, and they should get back what they give out. See Transactional Analysis for more info. No, I haven't just written a book.
And don't forget, since we still get a load of nonsense about 'cyclists don't pay road tax' ; there's no such thing as 'road tax'. Roads are paid for by council tax, motorways and some trunk roads are paid for by general taxation. Cyclists have a right to use the roads, and they pay for them.
Get yourselves down here sometime for some leisure rides, and in the meantime.......may the force be with you.

Ahh the old road tax chestnut...

I was once told to get off the road as I don't pay this mythical tax. I was going to educate them on how the tax system actually works, but I wasn't going to argue with 3 cars full of chavs in the middle of the night.

I want a tax disc, but I bet they wouldn't actually give you one.

Thankfully, this sort of thing only happens in the US, while here in the UK it's only cyclists that jump red lights. Not..

Crikey! I normally look when going through a junction anyway, but that makes me want to look twice as well and as long.

And to think Yenners was complaining about people being careful at junctions/roundabouts recently! Pah!

No chuckling here,I think that that video is quite awful.

I saw two peds get hit there which is what im saying however self righteous you are always check before you cross the frigging road.
