Had to go out in the rain today, and the canal towpath was closed between sale and stretford as they're pulling a core from the bridge. So had to hit washway road.

Not fun in the rain when you're trying out two panniers for the first time!

Ouch!! I was worried then for a minute but sounds like the bike is OK ;)

Fell off the other week in Wythenshawe Park, was doing a U-turn and the back wheel went on me, only thing damaged was my pride, not funny falling off at 2mph when you're meant to be helping a novice cyclist learn to ride

Think I'm turning into a crash test dummy & it's your fault lol

Checked my garmin - 10mph I was doing , but there was , without question oil on the surface

I'm sure I'll get told to get it checked by a medic but my hip has swollen up quite a bit since this morning , looking at the pic, can anyone offer advice ? I assume as I cycled 7 miles home then it ain't broke but it's really swollen

Edit : Was it oil or was it this that caused the spill

I had my first off today too due to the bike sliding away in a puddle. Thanks to the staff of Kennington job centre for coming to my aid with first Aid and offers of tea. My leg really hurts and a helluva bruise is forming on my thigh. Wheel buckled, bar tape screwed brake lever bent. At least I met a friend who to me in for a cup of tea where my broken bike now sits.

Sympathies. It hurts. Had a bruised hip a couple of years back (I was walking and fell over). I made the mistake of not doing as the doctor said and using it again, hard, too soon. best to let the bruised bone heal like you'll be told to.

(And I bet you'll take as much notice of that as I would!!!)
