Brilliant, honestly hilarious bloke....

It's difficult to be a good sportsman and have a semblance of a personality.

At least he hasn't gone christian yet.

Lots of lovely *quiet* countryside lanes for cycling on up in the North-East, so I hope Gazza can use cycling to get those endorphins working and help him deal with his illness and find some peace

You know, I'm not entirely certain having anything to do with footie would be good for him. As for his 'friends' he seems to have had far too many 'hangers-on' who, if the meeja is only partially correct, have NOT been real friends but simply around to say 'yes, Gazza, yor grate, gizza pint like!' or words to that effect. Plus staying around footie, wouldn't that be a bit like a heroin-addict working in a pharmacy and saying he could stay clean? Temptation and all of that? Perhaps he needs help to recover and stay away from the kind of lifestyle that led to him falling apart in the first place?
