Cutting a long story a bit shorter, I had to replace a rusty rack on my 34 year old T5 and needed to remove the rear wheel to enable some mods to be done on the original mudguard and everything went really well until I needed to replace the two speed indicator chain when it simply wouldn't go in. The rod part goes in so that the tip is about level with the wheel bearing. I can't seem to add a photo because I guess I haven't posted enough. Can anyone shed any light on what might be causing the problem please?
