gearing up

Just ridden my new bike for the first time (Willier Izoard) and it feels to me that I have a bunch of gear choices that I will never use. The cassette is 10 speed Shimano (12 -25) and up front I have 50 - 34. The hills around here are not steep and the terrain is at worst undulating. What are my options or should I wait before changing anything?

Wait. when you start going further afield you may need them, you just need to find some hills.

Wait. Unless you're a fairly decent racer, you won't ever need any higher gearing than you've already got, but as derrick says, you may one day find you need a lower gear...

You won't need anything higher than 50-34 unless you are a pro.
