I've joined, with an embarrassing WordPress problem. Not sure I qualify as a geek though. I mean, you don't, do you, when your first post doesn't count as it's a "hello, I'm new" type, and the second one - the real one - sees you asking for help?

That makes you an 'ungeek'! ;)

What was the WordPress question by the way? (I've been using it for 3 years.) Scrub that - I've just been and had a look - you've been loop breaking!

I did edit a few bits of PHP early on, but kept losing my edits every time WP got updated so I decided that I'd use different themes that did what I wanted to do without me having to get my hands dirty!

I'm doing it properly this time around and using a Child Theme. It's mostly working

I quite like editing and hacking, though I've been out of my depth since circa 2.4. I miss the good old days pre-widgets ... mainly because one's knowledge of PHP didn't have to quite so advanced and learning-through-hacking was perfectly adequate

I've just upgraded GeeksChat to the latest version of XenForo (1.0.4) and modified the layout to bring all the forums up to the top of the navigation tree.

I've also removed a good few forums (it was a bit overwhelming) and consolidated a number of others to reduce it down to a more useable level, as well as modifying the layout to clean it up a bit.

Cheers,
Shaun
