Gel gloves

Following reading this post on Friday I dropped into the local Specialized shop on Saturday to take a look at the Specialized BG Gel gloves and to size them up.

£65 later and I'm now the owner of a short fingered and long fingered pair. Wore the long fingered pair on a ride on Sunday and can highly recommend them. They feel great and have the biggest gel pads on any glove i've come across before.

They look the business too.

Wore them on a 600km ride, and got blisters in shape of the gels. Ugh! Do not buy them.

feedback on the gloves - after 6 1/2 hours cycling the other weekend they were very good, hands felt good and my arms didnt tire through shaking

I'm a huge fan of Giro's Tessa gel mitts (which are the women's ones) and know a guy who swears by the men's ones as well. I'm putting in a bulk order in case the stop making them - they're the only mitts I've ever tried on which fit my hands perfectly and are extremely comfortable to ride in, no matter what the distance, rain or shine. And rain. Lots of.
