General Wade's Military Road

Does anyone know whether this is doable, in early April, on a fully (and I mean fully!) loaded hybrid- specifically the stretch between Laggan and Fort Augustus? Google searches suggest this part of the trail is suitable for MTBs only. The track looks petty good from Google Earth pictures but obvoiusly that doesn't pick up on surface detail. I'd prefer this route towards Inverness to the A9 if possible.

Blimey - sounds rough! Pity though, I was relishing the prospect of such a wild and remote route, well away from it all. It would have meant cycling towards Inverness on much quieter roads on the south side of the Great Glen too. Thanks for the tip.
