Bought as a new utility bike but I struggled to get the spec as I wanted it and now I've committed to something that better suits my needs, so sadly it needs to go.
While looking this particular model appeared to be a bit of a unicorn. This spec ran from 2021-2023 and is notable as it was the first time the CdF 20 had a flat bar variant; with an improved spec over the CdF 10 flat bar including nicer components and a Reynolds 725 frame.
This was also the last flat bar model to be produced with a 2x drivetrain (10sp Tiagra and GRX).
Full specs can be found here.
My thread on the bike can be found here.
This example is pretty much original.
In my possession it's had a new, genuine RH barrel adjustor as this was broken when I got it, while the seatpost clamp was been de-burred of the usual sharp edges from the factory.
The frame has been carnauba-waxed externally, the drivetrain thoroughly cleaned and degreased and the chain immersive-waxed.
The gear cable routing has been revised to improve cable rads and frame clearance at the front end; as is now my preference on all my bikes shifter cables now run to the barrel adjustor on the opposite side of the frame and cross under the downtube.
The two blanking screws for the third bottle cage mount on the underside of the tube have been replaced with lower profile wafer head bolts to prevent fouling of the cables. This is easily reversed if not to your taste and the original fixings will be included with the bike.
There were some issues with shifting at the rear when I got the bike, but this appears to have been resolved through B-screw adjustment and (pending a proper shake down ride around the block tomorrow, weather permitting) everything works as it should.
The bike is currently fitted with a pair of cheapie stop-gap pedals and will be supplied complete assuming I can put my hands on the reflectors that came with it. The bell isn't currently fitted - I'd prefer to hang onto this but if it's a deal breaker you're welcome to it. Any non-original bits shown in the images will be removed - including bottle, cage, GPS unit etc.
Condition is very good; I've only put 30-40 dry miles on the bike and I suspect the previous owner's usage was similarly limited from its condition. There's the odd little nick on the frame, most seemingly very shallow and would probably disappear with the application of a spot of lacquer. There is no corrosion or structural damage to any of the tubing that I'm aware of.
The crankset has a few superficial marks and one of the headset spacers has a mark on one edge that's been touched up with permanent marker, but this is pretty much invisible unless you're looking for it.
There's a bit of dust on the greasy bits of some of the components but that aside the bike is almost immaculately clean.
The bike is offered for collection from north Oxfordshire and is currently only advertised on here.
The asking price is £600 firm.
If there's interest I'm happy to take more photos when I get the opportunity and of course I'm happy to answer any questions.
Cheers
