thanks Greg, I'd actually read that and looked up the Day 01 and that's an older model and states Formula hubs rather than the Genesis branded ones on the Day One. They may well be the same but the manufacturers do chop and change. Older Pompinos were 135mm the new ones are 120mm.

I'll ring Genesis tomorrow

ta mate:biggrin: I'm keen on the Genesis and just wanted to see how versatile it would be. I would intend a spare rear wheel for it with a 3 speed hub gear, I can do that whatever the dropout size. But I also considered that I may want to run it as a 1x9 or 1x8 sometime. Have found that you can get chaintugs with derailler hangers incorporated, so it's just the spacing to verify.

I'm quite surprised that rear spacing isn't one of the measurements indicated on the little frame geometry tables.
