Thanks for that line, it might have taken me a little time to catch on.

Amazing views..makes me a little dizzy when holding in the right arrow  – not the best way to spend my lunch hour. Only been to Paris once in 1997.

Very nice, thank you.

I can beat that. Last time I went to Paris I was 8. So that's 1971. My wife has been pushing me to go back for romantic weekend, but I'm trying to hold out so that I can say I only went to Paris once and didn't like it so have never been back. ;)

I bet that woman at the hotel window had wished she had put some clothes on first.

Wow, That's lovely. I'd like to see London, or York. Funny how one can pore over pictures or maps of a place one knows well, just as much as a place one doesn't know at all.

Good find, Arch!

I spied some office bod contemplating the meaning of life/suicide in the office block behind County Hall: 3rd window down on the left Thames 'half' of the block!

Yes, I see him!

I spotted a bloke pushing a bike down on the County Hall side embankment, had a bag that looked like a postie's bag, but I don't think it was.

Going back to Paris to see if I can find a Velib...

Funny, there's a black fella and his girlfriend (first spotted outside the Aquarium) looking at a map, then seen walking up river at two different places!

And a bloke (far right) sitting on a bench with a massive fore-head!

This is fun!

Nah, three scooters and one normal bike, parked up.

You can't actually see much road, due to the narrow streets and tall buildings...

Off topic, BTW, but why can't this kind of thing be used to see the American flag and other abandoned debris left behind on the moon?

I posted something like this on C+, IIRC, and never did get a satisfactory (or one that I liked/agreed with  ) answer!

I lived in Paris for two years; they were the loneliest years of my life. Apparently over 50% of Parisians live alone, they're not in the habit of sharing houses and flats like in Britain and in any case most ordinary (i.e. not rich) Parisians live in the former maids' room under the roof or in the basement, which are tiny.
