Getting Lost

But Shane, I think it is the silly mistakes, which can make our tours interesting. nothing better to find onself flaffing around in the wildeness without a clue where one is.LOL

What goes through my mind?

Always I worry that the road will deteriorate so badly that my rear wheel will be pulled out of alignment with all that weight to bear. Often more exciting to get lost, though you can lose hours in only moving a few miles, I got lost in Runcorn once, it's all housing estates and country roads.

Just read about your USA and Uganda trips, Shane, well done. It must have been a trip of a lifetime for both. Takes such bravery to do it, and courage. I would like to do something similar, but have returned to study once more. However, I shall be finished next June so who knows what will happen?

I usually just get lost through towns/cities! Out in the countryside, instead of just getting lost, it's a case of going via an unplanned route! That is the joy of exploring unknown territory.

Yup I've been through Ohio too, where the hills have eyes and the hillbillies call themselfs "Appalachian indians".

The hardest thing is to get past your front door, after that its all down hill. My next trip has taken a little more courage though, Because it means leaving my job, home and girlfriend to go cycling through Africa for a couple of years....
