1) Open a random article in wikipedia.
2) Click on the first link in the text (ignoring pronunciations or things written in foreign)
3) Keep repeating 2, and you will eventually end up at the page on philosophy.

(As you can tell, I'm getting bored with work!)

Not exhaustively tested, but it has worked many times in a row.

This is something like the idea on familiarity - in small countries like Denmark for example people are never more than three acquaintances away from each other. In a big country like Russia it's waaay longer and in a small place like Burnley almost everybody is actually related.
