Ghastly weather

After a few beautiful days (in Snowdonia) we have been back home in The Lakes since Thursday and yesterday was rubbish with drizzly rain and today it started drizzly and has been torrential for a while now.

Not a good summer here on the weather front.

How's it going across the rest of our fair nation?

Cats and dogs here this morning. Just windy now. So pleased I got out early and did my metric 100 in the rain.

Windy but sunny in SW London now, did get rained on earlier (started just as I'd pulled on my gardening shoes to mow the lawn obviously, so no mowing was done)

Summer forecast to return in the week, 28 degrees on Wednesday apparently

It's been a lot drier than normal I would say, but perhaps reasonably cloudy at times.... On the whole not too bad?

Still very warm in Leicester but it is very windy. Definitely a day for watching the telly.

Torrential rain in N.Devon this morning and high winds with showers now.

Thats the thing about the weather isn't it. Everyone complains when it isn't to their taste but nobody ever does anything about it. I blame Michael Fish.

Anyway, quite windy here. As I can't go windsurfing today I may go and fly my new kitein the local field instead.

Hopeless here in North Cumbria.....wind and rain . Might make another cup of tea for something to do.

Raining first thing, now merely blustery. Plans to go out up to Cambridgeshire on a training ride were put on hold when I opened the curtains this morning. I'm strictly a fair weather cyclist and not ashamed to admit it. I may just have grown a pair and pushed on with the plan if tomorrow's forecast was the same, but it promises to be calmer, so Saturday has become my beer and telly day this week.

It was 48 degrees C and sunny in Death Valley the other day, it's a cooler 42 where we are now, still sunny.

I've been very lucky here today - barely a drop of rain, and a v. strong tailwind bringing me the 67 miles to north Norfolk in record time!
I wish it could be like that more often!
