Blowy! The summer as a whole has been wet, windy and warmish without being hot, other than a handful of days, in Shropshire.

Was OK early on, so thought Id go out for a cycle up the coast before the forecasted rain arrived - it was supposed to be another couple of hours before it started.

Half an hour later, I was coming down a fast hill, the torrential rain started, it was like getting sandblasted!

After a few beautiful days (in Snowdonia) we have been back home in The Lakes since Thursday and yesterday was rubbish with drizzly rain and today it started drizzly and has been torrential for a while now.

Not a good summer here on the weather front.

How's it going across the rest of our fair nation?

Weather all week up until yesterday beautiful here in Devon (If slightly to hot for me). Yesterday rain on and off and today gales and rain. But you have to expect rain when you live in the South Wet!!!

It was 48 degrees C and sunny in Death Valley the other day, it's a cooler 42 where we are now, still sunny.

I was looking to go there sometime.

The whirlwind arrived, dumped gear, covered the garden in wet things, the house in things to air and has gone. It's like I dreamed he was here.

One fractured fibreglass pole from the wind taking the porch down. Summer eh!

My biggest conplaint this year is constant wind. Not from the wife ......proper strong easterlies.
There have been very few rides when a strong wind hasnt made part of the ride a challenge.
All I want is a couple of warm weeks with gentle breezes.

Today 17.c and raining, seems even worse when yesterday I was sat by the pool in Limssol in 36.c sipping cocktails
