Giant CFR convert brifters to downtube shifters

I bought this mid 90's Giant CFR today, it's a decent sized (63cm) carbon frame in great condition.
The hubs and dual pivot brakes are Shimano 600 Ultegra (Tricolor), Mavic Open4CD wheels, the drivetrain is 8 speed 105.
I'm assuming the original 600 brifters must have given up the ghost because it has some lower end Sora's on it, not great or period.

I ended up replacing these with some aero brake levers and some downtube shifters I had spare- much cleaner looking in my opinion and nicer to use.

I picked up a CFR down here a few years ago, bit later than yours. Unusual as the rear triangle was aluminium.
