As someone advised I have contacted Giant UK direct and they were very helpful(ish).

They are treating this as a (very) limited edition bike. They have just 8 coming into the UK (in my size) and...I think he said...just 20 in total. The nearest stores that will have iether small or medium are 120 miles from me.
They tell me Liverpool (20 miles away) will have a large size coming in January but as I am just 5' 6" that will be of no use to even try it out.

I do like the Specialized Sirrus Carbon which I can get in 105 groupset but at £500 more than the Giant.......so I would like to have given it a chance.
Ah well.

If it's the bike you really really want, why not take a trip, have a weekend of it, treat the missus (if you have one, yourself if not)...still cost less that £500

It'll be somewhat more unique than a Sirrus (or any Specialized *cough* )

Actually that is a very good suggestion............make a 2 day break of it..........nice one.
I do have a missus (of 46 years:smile:) and could even treat her to a McDonalds..........childs special of course (dont want to spoil her).

Obviously, call the stores in advance and check you can have a proper go on them, at least on a turbo

What stores will have the small and medium (I think at 5'6 it's more likely you'll need a small depending on its peculiar geometry)

With bike shops, weekdays are usually quieter, although in winter I expect even weekends aren't overly manic especially if you have cash to spend

Been following these threads, out of interest whether you would dally track down the Comax beast you're after.

Why the need to split the thread up though?

Good question. I will try to answer logically.........which is not too easy for me:laugh:
I thought it was an interesting thread/subject and could be useful for others (assuming others are thinking of this bike).
After the 1st thread had lots of answers I (rightly or wrongly) assumed people would not keep returning to it. BUT the situation was changing as I got more information and I didn't want interested people to miss the updates..........so I decided to post as an update-more or less saying "this is an update".

It's up to you how you do it. Not having a go. Later down the line though, it's easier for others to follow if it's all in the same thread.
