It was how you put "deer" in inverted commas that threw me! I assumed it was a euphemism for something else! Punctuation is an extremely powerful tool, especially when used in a less than conventional way! Apologies!

No idea at all ,believe it or not a couple of weeks later, again cycing to work , a car was stopped in the road with the police in attendance and what do you know , the car had a smashed front wing and alongside it was a dead/dying deer AND a couple of weeks before a lady from work was traveling up the same bank whem one jumped out of the woods and clattered into the side of her car. the kids went hysterical and Emma nearly died of shock .
Dangerous beasts these Deer !

There are lots of deer round my way, as well as badgers and foxes. I am sure they have a plan to get me off this winter.

Well that's the last giant bike I will be buying

after 5 weeks and them telling me they will be repairing the frame. They have now said they will not be covering the frame as they believe there is no defect in the manufacture and even had the Gaul to try and charge me to ship the frame back if I didn't want to let them keep it
