Hi

I have been contemplating a gravel bike recently, i was going to go road bike but have settled on Gravel, im looking at the Giant revolt 1 which just about comes into my budget, what are peoples thoughts on this bike? reviews i have read have been generally positive, is there an equivalent or similar that you would recommend over this bike? or do you think its a good bike for the money?

Thanks a lot.

The 2026 model is a good looking beast for sure.

Cues drivetrain & brakes get good reviews and it is a 100% modern system.

Other components look on the money.

Flip chip (new to me) let's you use some huge tyres.

Giant is a very reputable brand with good warranty/service.

If you like the colour, go test ride at your local dealer and if it feels great (like if fits you), just buy it.

One of my bikes is a Giant (tcx1) and has been 100% trouble free.

Good luck.

Nice bike.

The proprietary D shaped seatpost would be a deal-breaker for me; but may not worry you. I'd also want to be sure that it can take mudguards without a lot of faff.

As Spokey-dokey says give it a try.

I have the 2024 carbon 2 with 2 X's 12. It's a great do all bike
Currently have 45 Gravel Kings with SKS mudguards no problem...plus my rear rack fits fine. No problem with seat post although I read that others have occasional creak...carbon paste seems to be the key.
Paint is a bit fragile...I have heard the same criticism of other makes so may be the paint mixes they all use these days.

Have fun choosing...I looked at many but then got an end of season deal I couldn't resist

Only downer for me is that Giant don’t accommodate for smaller people.

I’m 5ft 7 and the revolt in a small frame has a 55cm top tube and reach of 38.1cm and 42cm bars.

My 52cm Specialized diverge e5 which fits me nicely measures 53.8cm top tube and 37.4cm reach with 38cm bars by comparison. Effectively a good couple of cm difference, resulting in the revolt feeling stretched unless you made some modifications to change the stem length and bar width to compensate.
