Hi,

I have a 2023 Giant Roam 1 with the following drivetrain:

  • Cassette: Shimano CS-M4100, 10-speed, 11-42T
  • Chain: KMC X10 with Missing Link
  • Crankset: ProWheel RPP 521P, 32/44T, forged aluminum, integrated axle
  • Bottom bracket: ProWheel PW-BB68+, BSA
  • Front derailleur: Shimano Deore
  • Rear derailleur: Shimano Deore with clutch
Unfortunately, the ProWheel crankset has started creaking despite having relatively low mileage.

I'm thinking about replacing it and would appreciate some advice. ChatGPT suggested the Shimano CUES FC-U6000-2. Would that work well with my current setup, or are there any compatibility issues I should be aware of?

Also, would it make sense to switch to a 1x10 drivetrain, or is it better to keep the existing 2x10 configuration for a bike like the Roam?

Thanks in advance for your advice!
