Hi guys advice required!

I had my heart set on the new TCR advanced pro 1 but as not in stock in my size my eyes been wandering and I'm now being drawn into getting Di2. Advanced pro 0 is a grand more and has Di2 but for similar price as advanced pro 1 I can pick up a specialized tarmac SL6 comp with Di2.

I feel TCR has everything but with Di2, although affordable, makes me alittle uncomfortable to pay for a bike as non pro.

Which one would you go for?

Is Di2 worth a grand more. Not in my book and I have a bike with Di2. I can understand your impatience and frustration. But I would wait. Imagine the upgrades you can make on the other bike with a grand.

Di2 is nice. It's a luxury. But it certainly is not essential and it does not come close to the top of my wish list.

Thanks Steve. I think you're right it's alot of money for a bike. I need to stop reading about how good Di2 is

Last year I purchase a TCR advanced pro 1 ,would I have paid £1000 more for Di2 ? Answer no, not worth it to me ,ultegra mechanical is everything I need . While researching the purchase a Tarmac was seriously considered but the TCR was the one that floated my boat and the difference between the bikes are minimal so that's what swung it for me .
To further confuse you have you considered a Ribble bike you spec it too what you want and will Di2 at mechanical prices of the big brands . I stuck with giant due to lifetime frame warrentry compared to 3 years from Ribble

Doesn’t the TCR have an integrated seatpost? May or may not present more of a problem when you eventually put it up for sale.

Only the very top off the range has the integrated seat post .mine didn't but the pro 0 might something to consider if you ever going to sell it on

Having just got rid of a 2019 Tarmac Comp Disc I would go for the TCR, the Specialised wasn't a very comfortable ride in my experience, despite 28mm tyres and a carbon bar and thick bar tape it still felt harsh on long rides. How about a TCR with a mechanical Ultegra groupset? still a very good choice.
