Hello,

I just came across a second hand TCR Composite 1... as I have not been cycling for a while and looking to make my great cme back, was thinking of going second hand first and see, if I still feel the passion. The question is, does it make sense to go for a fairly high spec as for an amateur carbon road bike, thats 8 years old, or rather find something new, lower spec? This TCR was 2400 USD brand new back in the day ad I can get it for around 700 Euros.... which is roughly 760 USD. The pictures seem to show, the bike is in a really good condition. Pictures attached and the add description copied below. If you could advise? Thanks a lot.

I have a Giant TCR (Team Once), bought it in 2004(!) and still going strong, done 8 Ironman Tri's on it, countless sprint Tri's and Sportives, have renewed just about everything except the frame:rolleyes:, it is brilliant, my favourite bike, cost me £2400 back then and worth every penny!
If the question is, is the bike good, no its brilliant, still brings a smile to my face every time I get on it and hardly a mark on it, if its is it worth the money, only you can decide, I think it would be a bargain and if it is in as good a condition as it looks, personally I'd say it was worth it. Happy hunting!
