Giant xtc

Hi I’ve been offered to the chance to buy the Giant xtc SLR 29 1 mountain bike. It’s a size large. On the sizing chart it says large is for 6 ft tall people.
I am 5 11 and was wondering if anyone has one and how accurate the sizing is and if it would fit myself.
Its a bit of a distance from me so don’t want to waste time if not suitable.

What sizing chart are you looking at ? unless you are an unusual shape for your size I should think it would be OK.

Can you try before you buy?
What's you current bike? Take measurements from your current bike for the three contact points and see if they are reasonably close to the one you are looking to buy.
Finally are you getting at a price that would be easy to sell on if you found you didn't like it?

I'm sure it'll be fine. I ride a road bike which on paper is too big for me but still suits.
MTBs tend to have drop top tubes so no worries about your Victor Silvester's.

Should be fine, Ride it a bit and if you feel you are over reaching then swap the stem for a shorter one.
