I thought it was an amazing performance from what I've seen. Beyonce is a seriously talented women, who knows how to put on a proper soul show, whether you like the music or not. And Crazy in Love is one of the great singles of the last 10 years.

Glastonbury has always tried to have an enormous variety - where else can you go from singing along with Beyonce to watching some insane trapeze group to balls-out rock and roll? Sure, it's probably too big for its own good now and could do with some downscaling, and it's always 'not as good as it used to be'. But come on, I bet you most people at Glastonbury this year had an awesome time that they'll remember for years.

You miserable ****ers! ;)

It is the Brecon Jazz Festival this weekend and another one I can recommend is The Dorset Steam Fair. We went there for 9 years as a stall holder and it is probably the most atmospheric festival in the world and lots of music in the evening. I used to enjoy rumaging through all the junk stalls but the event comes alive in the evening with all the showmans engines and old steam fairground going at full steam.

Well, searching for yourself on the internet and haranguing someone you don't know, might be a clue. ;)

Firstly, I wasn't 'searching for myself', I was looking up the name of the band I was once in, and secondly, I'd describe calling someone you don't know and have never met 'a total tosser' as being justification for a harangue.

And what's it got to do with you anyway, you fat looking arse? Maybe you need to do less chatting and more cycling.

Do you always make a habit of proving people's points for them?

I think your Wiki entry says it all: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Deryke_Drow

"band vanity".

Hmmm. You're certainly not doing yourself any favours here.

Do you ride a bike? Genuine question ... it's what we do here, you see.

Yes, I ride a bike. But I don't ride it whilst I'm using a keyboard .. you must be very skilled, Rhythm Theif. Perhaps you should work in a circus, on a monocycle with a Blackberry.
As for 'favours', why would I give a sh+t about currying yours?

I am getting just the vaguest impression as to why this band never made it very big...

Well, mostly because you've signed up to these forums with the sole intention of proving you're not a tosser, as has been hypothesised by one or two of the forum members. An admirable aim in itself, and I can quite understand why you don't want some random strangers to think you're a tosser, but so far you simply appear to be making a great many more people - who had never even heard of you or your band - think "hmmm. He's a tosser" when confronted with your posts.
It's "Thief", by the way.

I haven't 'signed up to these forums' to prove anything to anyone (least of all an ambitiously verbose pseudo-wise typo-nerd like you). Equally no-one has 'hypothesised' anything, which would require the employment of scientific method rather than just a peurile insult from two people who once caught a glimpse of me twenty years ago at a music festival. I came across this somewhat trivial and irrelevant chat space as a result of googling the name of an old band I was in, and have since experienced mild gratification expressing my contempt for those who originally expressed it for me here. It's been fun. As for the 'great many (other) people' who might judge me for what I write here .. I think not. I'd suggest others have better things to do, like get out more. So what's your excuse for getting involved? Does correcting minor grammatical mistakes give you a hard-on?
Thanks for the grammar lesson. Would you mind checking my spelling of "ludicrously pedantic" too, by the way? :hello:
