..... Put my fingerless mits on as I left the house this morning, mistake on my part, should have gone fingered. My digits were numb by the time I got to work. The rain felt strangely Icey this morning. Caught me out!

get a cheap pair of inner lining gloves - stick em in your back pocket and place underneath the mitts if you fingers get cold.

Yeah, a thin pair of inners is the way to go.

It was freezing this morning. I had to stop after about a mile and put on gloves and also my buff, I havent had to do that for months! I agree the rain felt icy, a bit like tiny hail stones and it was burning my face and ears.

I think my calender is broken, it keeps telling me it is May, my winter stuff should be packed away by now.

Same here too. Although suvived as I had an extra layer on top this morning. Glad I did, as spots turned to drizzle, and then to steady rain by the time I had reached work.

We should be in shorts and ss jerseys with our shades on. The warmer weather can't be to far off surely. It's the wettest drought I've ever heard of lol

For dry, coldish days (3-7°C) I have a pair of gloves I bought for £3 from GoApe. They're not waterproof, but quite thin with a brilliant grip (for swinging from those trees). Love 'em.

When it wees down have to hit the full-fingered waterproof badboys, but do experience problems with overheating sometimes.

Thin and waterproof would be a brilliant third pair.

if you get stuck like that again when you stop at the lights wheel your arms. forces blood into the fingertips and heats them up a little.

Today on the way to work:
compression top
'cold' base layer
Lightweight 'Thermal' tights, jacket & long fingered gloves - all are rated 0-8C dry/5-15C wet... that forecasted rain better be there on the way home!
Sunglasses... at 5:00am!

It also has the added benefit of giving drivers the impression that you are about to give them a haymaker if they get too close.
