+1 why i picked up a pair of sealskinz http://www.sealskinz.com/gloves/ultra-grip-gloves awesome for the days when massive gloves are an over kill picked them up on ebay for about £25/£30

Ive heard conflicting reports on seal skinz, some say there totaly waterproof, others say they leak in torrential rain. Whats your verdict? Are they breathable too?

the gloves are brill waterproof breathable and up to a relative high temp still wearable ( ie if commute goes from cold wet to mild you can keep them on without having to stop to remove them) the socks are great too though you have to be careful get them tight enough at the top or wear the under you tights to seal them other wise a Tidal wave from cars or buses can flood them from above.

Summer kit with arm-warmers today again, but with a pair of Lidl long-fingered cycling gloves for the ride in. The mitts will go on & the arm warmers will be left off for the ride home.

You lot have missed out on an Scottish upbringing which acclimatises you to cold weather - it's pleasantly mild at 6 or 7C for me... ^_^

Or know more than people think ;). I can ride a lot lighter than I do when it's cool however my power for the same perceived effort is lower. This means I'm not pushing my muscles as had & thus am either not improving my condition, or worse, not maintaining my current condition.

I cant comment on that specific model but my sealskinz are unusable in anything above zero degrees as they get too warm and sweaty
