Just been to Go Outdoors and were looking at some self inflating pillows but thought they were too pricey at £28.99, Mrs D had a look on her phone and found the same ones for £16.99 on line so I asked if they price matched, yes and plus an extra 10% it turns out, so paid £30.58 for two. Will definitely check anything I buy there in future.

We did that with a tent at start of season ( start? )

Always check as takes a few seconds .

On the odd occasions I have been there I've always been struck by their weird "you need to pay us £5 for a discount card or else pay higher prices" policy. As someone who doesn't need outdoorsy stuff much it didn't really endear themselves to me.

A while back I ordered a cycle helmet from them.

They sent the wrong size. I was going into Milton Keynes so swung by the store to change it.

The store didn't have the correct size in stock, so I asked for a refund. They only tried to charge me a returns fee for returning a helmet in the wrong size. Er, hold on - I ordered the right size, was you that sent me the wrong one.

Now Decathlon opened next door I haven't been back since.

I don't think they charge for the card anymore, the last one I got was free.

Decathlon are great for a lot of stuff, especially the cycling section but the choice of brands is pretty limited.

I don't mind that, as their own brand stuff is usually very decent. At least when they muff things up they don't try to charge me money for the privilege of rectifying their mistake.
