We are off to the electric bike rally at Presteigne this weekend. We are going to see Steve Punchard from electricmountainbikes.com, who I bought my bike from; he has installed a Gruber assist 200w motor into his new bike brand...electricgoatbikes. He is taking it to Presteigne, so hoping to get one fitted to my wife's mtb if the test ride is okay.
Heres a link to some youtube footage of his stand at the Dalby forest world championships.

.... this motor fits inside the bottom bracket?

how big/heavy is the battery?

did google and decent cylist can knock out 500 W so 200 W is a fair old kick, seems a bit optimistic to me - the weight of the motor and battery will negate a fair bit of the advantage.

be interested to see how it goes, not that I need one, not yet..

Could it be fitted to my road bike? I might be able to burn off my training buddy for once!

I think there are two sizes, so it's the internal diameter of the seat tube that is important.
