Well tomorrow im going to try for a 100mile ride, i was going to try last week but the weather beat me, i went and bought a garmin 500 today because i realised strava on my phone would be no good coz the battery would run out lol,its quite a hilly ride so if i manage to get home in under 7 hrs 30 i will be happy, if im not on here tomorrow night it probably means im still out there somewhere lol

Good luck, I did my first 100 miler a couple of weeks ago, was hard work but I enjoyed it. Take more to drink than you think you will need. I took just over 2 litres with me and I had to ration it for the last ten miles or so.

If you cant refill anywhere, road side cafes ect.. just buy some bottled water and refill your bottles, but please dispose of the bottles responsibly

There's lots of convenient free waterpoints in that radius, onece you get to know them all.

Well done, 100 miles there is well worth 150 miles along the North East coast.
You will find it much easier on a 'next 100' by heading along to Gateshead, Newcastle river route to North Shields and doing Tynemouth northwards

I can't quite see you wanting to do that one again soon.
