Salt and pepper here. Sometimes I just leave it but it's dyed at the moment.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
what’s the scientific reason one goes grey haired?
Also do you think science will be able to produce a pill to stop this??

It's the melanogentic clock, which gives rise to a failure of melanocyte stem cells to maintain the production of melanocytes.

I suppose it's theoretically possible that one day someone will invent a treatment, but as world problems go it's neither the most urgent for human health nor the most economically attractive line of research.

I think you'd better get used to having a few distinguished streaks.

Really? I'd have thought there were fortunes to be made from producing the antidote for grey hair.

My FIL is 84 and has still got a full head of dark brown hair. Not even a fleck of grey. His hair is great. His brain is mush.

Grey?

Ice blonde, if you don't mind.

There's not a hair on my head that's not grey but at least it's still there
That's not true. You don't have a single grey hair. Hair either has melanin and it's coloured, or it doesn't and it's white. Grey hair is a mix of coloured and white hair that looks grey in total from a distance.

My hair is completely white and has been since I was 16 and a bit.
Yup, got it pictured in my head....

I can’t understand why it spreads upwards.

First pubes, then chest, then nose hair, then eyebrows. Now they are working their way up my head, starting with my sideburns.
That's not my case. Definitely started on my head and the bits in the middle are still... oh, I'm not discussing that here!

But now I come to think of it, my leg hair has disappeared. Maybe it's white, and invisible against my anglo-celtic skin. But that definitely happened after my head.
