on our ride yesterday we called in at Waresley Garden Centre for a cup of tea. There were a retired age couple in there sat together with an enormous fried breakfast each. I kept half an eye on them.
Not a single word, no glance upward, hardly a pause. This was a serious pursuit. Eventually they finished, sated, pleasantries resumed.

Going out for breakfast is an actual thing these days. It’s not something I get.

2 bits of toast did me yesterday.

Am I missing out?

We have breakfast out at least once a week, it is something we enjoy doing.

Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
I occasionally, when walking the dog across the local fields for an hour or two first thing in the morning, pop into the cafe for a bacon sandwich and a mug of tea. The owner sees me coming and has the bacon on the go before I order, and the tea arrives quickly and steaming. Does this count as going out for breakfast?

I even get dressed to go out for breakfast.

Pretty much every cafe I've been in, for as long as i can remember, has a 'breakfast' menu, often served until 10 or 11am... so guess 'going out for breakfast' has always been a 'thing'.
@Littgull and I cycled out to a cafe last Friday. I had already eaten breakfast before setting off but they were serving nice veggie 'breakfasts' at 12:30 so I had another one! :hungry:
