I am going today to get measured for a new bike but not sure what I need to wear... I don't want to go in my cycling gear but should I take it with me to get changed into? Other than that I will be going in my jeans.

Hehe I went in jeans once the guy in Evans laughed coz they wouldn't allow for getting a leg over the saddle

Went back next day in shorts but still couldn't decide on a bike

I went to Evans in my cycling gear to try and test ride a Cannondale Synapse. Glad i did as hopped on and off quite a few bikes, jeans would have been challenging.

I'd also suggest taking your pedals and shoes if you have clipless as it helped me choose frame size when went to order as I was between a 56 and 58. Guys at Evans popped the bike om the turbo, fitted my pedals and started doing a fit to see which size best suited me. Fantastic service

If you are looking to buy a bike rather than a spot of tyre licking, go in your cycling kit. You can always wear a pair of cropped cargos or something over your shorts. What I do when I don't want to look like a fully lycra'd up cyclist. What I did when I cycled to the the Leechery (TM) to give a blood sample on Thursday
