Bradley Wiggins absolutely stormed to the Gold in the individual 4,000m pursuit after being a fraction off the pace in the heat.

You can watch the race here.

I watched just that bit last night, and my 7 y o came into the room and suprised me by being interested and then he was very pleased when in his words "we won".

He's a cool dude! I thought that he was rent-a-gob when he first came on the scene but I really like him now.

Interestingly the commentators were saying he's not even on form which is good news if he still has room for improvement going into the Olympics.

He has form. A very controlled paced rider. Class.

He is poetry to watch on the track. I couldn't believe how utterly smooth he was when I saw him race at Herne Hill a few years ago.

Yeah, the smooth effect is rather ruined when he takes his helmet off!
