My vote ... Til Tuesday ... Aimee Mann didn't exactly fade away, but Til Tuesday were such class, pretty much unheard of. Pop don't get much better.

A bit cheesy, but very 80s. I saw them by accident at Leicester Poly in 85(ish), a light smiley little band.
