Good books set in Vancouver

I have a habit of reading novels, and to some extent non-fiction, about places I'm going to visit or stay in. I've now finished my Stockholm/Copenhagen/Malmo reading list.

As I'm off to Vancouver in Canadaland for Xtmas and know nothing about the place, other than Boo is living there at the moment, and my oldest friend got beaten up in China town on his first visit (20 years ago )and broke his leg walking down a mountain on his second, anyone able to recommend some fiction set there?

Having read it from cover to cover, and studied vast chunks at Uni, I'm certain none of it is set in Vancouver

I do the same thing. I have a dozen books to I'm reading on the Western Isles currently as we are visiting there in November and April. In July it will be back to books connected to Italy.

I have yet to visit Canada so will watch in anticipation.

He's got another one called Story House, which I've not read but is supposed to be excellent.

My favourite Canadian novelist is Robertson Davies but all his books are set in Ontario.
