I have an old Dawes Synthesis with AM10 tubing.

Does anyone have any information on this type of tubing?

Greetings and welcome.

Been a while since I heard AM10 mentioned. I dont recall the composition but think it might be a cheap grade of cromo.

I do seem to really it was a bit intermediate, a step up from "hi-ten" gas pipe steel but not in the same league as the lower range quality tube sets such as 501.

I don't even recall if it was butted, but I dont think it was. If memory serves it was light enough and rode well enough.

Not much to write home about, but far from dreadful either. Usually found on the slightly higher tier budget machines such as this.
