Good deal at Tesco's on reflectives

I've got myself kitted out for winter with plenty of reflectives and ancillary blinkies (small lights) all for under a tenner from Tesco. The reflective trouser clips and armbands are about £1.50 - £2.50, and the blinkies are £3. They also sell vests and proper bike lights, although I don't know how bright the lights are.

I got a couple of inner tubes from there for £1.95 ea, alright to keep in the panniers as spare in case they get robbed.

Go on, you know you want to....you could get a choccie bar whilst your in there...but if it's anything like our local Tesco, you might also come out with a TV, fridge, insurance policy, list goes on really

Their insurance is the primary reason I don't like them. I always believe that any company can make a mistake, but how they deal with it is the mark of a decent business.

Tesco effed me round good and proper with their insurance, and now I don't darken their doors.

That's the trouble, they just shift commodities, and I think they treat things like insurance the same. Couldn't really call them a specialist could you? Don't mind getting the odd bargain, but we don't use them much for anything lately, switched to Morrisons instead for the weekly shop.

Woah! you misunderstand me, I merely recommended the reflectives. Whether you get Groceries, TV's, Insurance, or even Funeral Services from them is completely up to you.

Reflectives, on that basis I have found them to be rather good, even better stocked than a certain LBS - one that didn't even have 'The Bike Book', or 'Cyclecraft', pah!

Regardless, I'm happy with my TESCO purchase

Tesco - Every Little Hurts

Is this at small Tesco stores, or only the large ones? I'm tempted to get some bargains, but living in inner London makes large supermarkets few and far between.
(I'm sure there's more of them than around towns, but it feels further when I have to go past two Sainsbury's Locals, two Sainsbury's Metros, three Tesco Expresses, two Waitroses, Iceland, M&S Food and a Co-op to get to Big Tesco.)
