Hi Guys

Been offered the following from a chap at work for £1250, just wondered if its a reasonable deal given the age of the frame design. Size wise its a perfect fit so no worries there just wondering if i should aim for a lower price or is this reasonable.

Gaint TCR Frame (2 yrs old) - as per the TCR Trinty 1 2006 model
Profile Design carbon wing and tri bars
Ultegra chainset
Durace Shifters
Rest 105's
Plant X Pro Carbon 101 rear wheel
Shimano front and spare rear wheel

Cheers for the input guys.

I would say from new it cost circa £1800 even factoring in the additions/changes around £2000.

Dependant on wear and age I think with 'mates rates' or 'chap at work' (depends how well you know the guy) you should be offering under a grand tbh. Here for example is a pricing example for one, I don't know if this site is dated but gives you a ball park idea.

£1250 sounds a bit dear for a 2 year old bike

If it is in absolutely fabulous condition and you really want in then maybe. But even with the recent outbreak of mega bike price inflation this sounds a bit on the steep side

The main advantage of buying from someone you know and work with is, of course , when they say "no cracks, no crashes" they are actually telling the truth

Cheers for info Garz. From what i can work out on the link provided the frames there are composites, isn't this a mixture of carbon and alu or have Giant renamed the term to try and be different. The Frame In Question is full carbon. As for wear and tear, Planet X wheel raced twice. Frame less than 2 yrs old and used for occasional training.

Just trying to get a rough idea tbh. Thinking the 1250 asked is maybe flying high prob closer to 1k?
