Ok so I get to spend the day with wife and kids, which is great. But got soaked a few times this week and now its 'good friday' its a perfect morning (mild, sun starting to break through cloud and not a breath of wind) and I cant ride to work as the office is closed!

I love my job but LOVE riding to work when the weather is like this! bloody bank holidays....

So I am watching Sponge bob with teh kids at the moment and the wife is having a lay in bed, we have cleaned downstairs and they are going to do their rooms in a bit... will make her breakfast and cup of tea at about 10.30 then i reckon by 12 i can be off on a 40 miler to make up for it... what are the chances the weather changes by then?

I'm drinking tea in bed and surfing on here instead of being at work

Having 4 days rest from the bike though, it'll do me good I'm sure but

I always think Good Friday is something of a misnomer ...

"Hi Jesus, how's it going? Having a good Friday?"

"Oh, not too bad ... apart from being crucified."

I'd hate to see what happens when Friday isn't good.

With me it's nearly knocking off time but it was far from good on the commute this morning with rain varying between heavy and light. It's dry at the moment so I hope it stays like this until I get home.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No work for 4 days which means 4 nice early morning rides. I was out at 7 this morning for a 90 minute spin - plenty of others out too.

This is the end of my second week working away from home. Been staying in a hotel and haven't been on my bike since the CC ride at Linlithgow! Hopefully get into a rented flat and bring the bike soon...

I love it when a plan comes together, just done a double loop round a hilly (for me it was hilly) route. One way round is 9.5 mile with 1009ft climbing and takes around 45mins, passed our house and couldn't hear the mrs screeming at the kids they sounded like they were having fun in the back garden so i went for it again!

Actually did the second loop 4 minutes faster.

See if she will fall for the same trick tomorrow. Although starting to cloud over now so may rain tomorrow.

I had a good ride out today. Did 12 miles to start and agreed to meet mrsG with the kids. Did a little ride with the 4 year old and played on a playground for a bit. Then did another 15 miles on my own. Great rides witha good break, nice times for both legs.
