My opinion as someone who once drove a lorry: it would have been clear to me that the driver was in an awkward spot (you soon learn to avoid potential traps when you drive a truck) and could have been a bit stressed up about it, especially if he was looking for an address. In these circumstances I'd have expected him to pull a stunt of some sort and I'd have hung back until I could see what he had decided to do.

For how long? 10 seconds, 30 seconds, a minute, five minutes, the rest of the morning, the rest of the day? Could be one helluva trackstand.....

The first of my mates to pass his driving test once said to me. "Pete. When you get your own car you don't use your indicators as much."
"Why's that Keith?"
"It wears the bulbs out".

Too many other road users seem to be members of the secret service and keep their manoeuvres a mystery.


A relative gave me similar advice about not using the lights unless you really coudn't see where you were going without them on - as it overworks the alternator having them on.....:whistle: As he drove a black car at the time it always amazed me that he never had an accident.
