home tonight in the wet, the same place I had the bad accident, nearly had the same one, in primary, 25 mph, bloke turns right across me from the other side, clearly misjudged my speed, nasty in the wet, locked the back for a second or two and skated rather nastily

three minutes later nearly doored whilst filtering

ho hum

coming down the big hill that ends at my road, sensed something not quite right, as I slowed right down to make the left turn in to my street, a flat front, which naturally did not take kindly to a sharp turn over wet cherry blossom

ouch, banged shoulder, knee and elbow, very nice passing family showing concern

oh well, only 50 yards to push the bike

oh bugger the glue's run out, oh good there's a mint kit in the wife's bar bag

tube out and an ugly double split, two big patches later, quick check and yes, a third puncture on the other side, presumably the original culprit with the other two being a pinch in the last seconds

all together again and rock solid which is nice

frankly I think I've paid my dues to fate for a month or so at least

Most defiantly, yes you have. So look on the bright side. It's the 1st of the month. You now have a lovely may to look forward to.
