When this tune was at its 'peak', I was doing the M.E.N. show at Olympia - I think - fashion show anyway, which involved three days onsite tinkering around.
The PA system was 'solid pop' all day long, and this song used to get played once an hour - maybe twice!

Well. The "workforce" were in full voice and the chorus filled the Grand Hall in "workmanlike" fashion - unforgettable!

As an aside, the company I was doing the work for brought in masses of cans of Sapporo beer for entertaining. At the time, the can was distinctive for being shaped like a saloon bar glass. To drink, it was a simple matter to pull the lid completely off and drink.

The next day, I woke up, at some point, and I had a neat cut across the bridge of my nose...no idea how it got there!
I think they are ring-pull 'conventional' nowadays.
