Can you buy beef suet anymore?

It's still one of the basic food groups up here in the North - and the good news for southerners is that Ocado stock it (presumably in their ironic range...)

I bought some vegetarian suet by mistake recently. If I'm honest, despite MrsR's cries of despair, I couldn't tell the difference in the dumplings.

What can I say, that was awesome, proper stick to your ribs stuff and enough for two more meals...the dumplings are big and nice and stodgy, as they should be.

What can I say, accidentally made too much to the tune of 3 full meals worth for me....I haven't even shown her any crisp packet pictures yet!!!

Still in Waitrose. It's essential for Christmas Pudding, and it's getting to the time of year to start thinking about making them.

Well it's Friday and, despite my good intentions through the week, it was looking like a pizza again. Then my neighbour just knocked and she'd made too much chicken and dumpling casserole, would I like a pot?

Kching....Friday night just got a whole lot better

I read it as " I was looking like a pizza again" , which confused me more than a little, off to find my glasses
