Points made by the Police Officer investigating:

> She did not fail to give way, but failed to accelerate enough once she was out of the junction. If she had accelerated quicker then an incident would not have occurred.
> There was plenty of room for her to pull out even with me travelling at 30mph.
> Should I be undertaking the car?
> If I had time to slap the car, should I not have been braking more.
> Best till last, by slapping the car, she could decide to take me to court for road rage.

They put it down to a mistake that all drivers make and not worthy of a prosecution.

However in my mind, it was an unnecessary risk that could have seriously injured or killed me.

I wouldn't be filtering on the left at 30mph.

So it was at a cross roads on a single carriageway.
I know about overtaking approaching junctions, not sure how / if it is intended as passing vehicles or only "overtaking"

Looks to me like the driver did not consider vehicles behind the stationary cars and the cyclist felt it was ok to undertake at a busy junction at a fair lick.

Each to their own, but I would not have done either whether I was Driving , cycling or on the motorbike

Yeah, crossroads. I continued to pass aswell as the vehicles in front did and the cars behind me. It's one of those junctions that although you could stop behind right turning traffic, the lane is plenty wide enough to allow cars to pass safely. If I had stopped there I would have been either hit from behind, or gotten a lot of abuse for doing so.

Happens several times a week to me albeit I'll be doing nearer 20mph than 30mph!

I personally think it was a dangerous move to go up the inside of the car that pulled out and would of pulled in behind it

I've quickly learnt being in the right is no guarantee of not getting injured and whilst she would of got minor damage to her car you would of got a hospital visit

13-14s into the video, she starts to edge out. It took you 2-3 s to pull alongside her.

Peeps make mistakes. To go to the police seems pointless.

Leave the camera at home and calm down a bit.

and at 14-15 secs im hard on both brakes, then at 17 secs im alongside her. 2 seconds at 30mph is not enough for me to stop. People make mistakes yes, but those mistakes can have serious consequences.

It wasn't a case of do I go behind or alongside, it was a case of it I don't go alongside then im going to end up in her boot.

You didn't need to stop.

Your brakes are crap, change.
