Of course, if he shifts ownership by selling for £10 it to an overseas based concern with he just hapens to also own or have an interest in he shifts ownership outside the UK and avoids the stamp duty.

Or he he sells the entire company and its assets, which just happen to be this house and nothing else, he avoids stamp duty.

Im a rank amateur and can of plenty of ways that he can shift it on without paying. People may have been daft enough to believe him 25 years ago but not in 2021.

All the above is captured by the principle of Fair Value in that you can't t/f something for £10 when it's worth a lot more than £10. That is, what you have suggested would fail upon inspection by HMRC
