I've decided to invest my birthday money from Tuesday on a workstand, I'm not an all day every day, in the workshop type of guy, so don't need to invest a fortune, I've noticed that Edinburgh Cycles Revoltion workstand gets good reviews as does the Park, I found this on *bay and thought it looked the same as the Revolution, can anyone confirm this or give me and idea if they're any good.

Thanks.

It might be the angle of the phot, but it looks like it only has two legs? I would say you need three, otherwise it will always be at risk of toppling over. Give me a few minutes and I will see if i can find the one I bought from Amazon, which is also cheaper than this one and more than up for the job

I am no expert so take my recommendations with a pinch of salt.

I am happy with mine, I use it once a week to lift the bike and give it a good clean. I have a Felt hybrid so heavier than a road bike and it holds it fine. The only gripe I have is it is a bugger to put up and down as the legs are (probably intentionally) stiff to slide up and down the main shaft.

If it is for occasional use, why spend £54 when you can spend £40, but that might be the Yorkshireman in me speaking.

Give it a while and I am sure people who are more knowledgable than me will be along to give you some advice.

that one looks identical to the £30 one I got from Aldi (or was it LiDL?) except that mine has an additional rod for holding the handlebars straight. Solid and works well.

Mine has the additional rod and I bought it because it looks like the aldi/lidl one which a lot of people raved about.

It looks the same as mine I bought from RIBBLE a few years ago.

It's simply a superb piece of kit

The Lidl/Aldi ones are OK when they're available, but having compared mine to a mates Aldi/Lidl one you can see where the small extra cost of this ones goes, it is much better built IMO.

The Ebay one you've linked to looks very similar to my EBC workstand. It's good for the price. It's possibly not the stand for you if you're planning on swapping out lots of chainsets, it's not the most robust workstand you could get. But for most other things, it's perfectly adequate. The price is reasonable - I'm not sure I'd pay much more than that for it.
