I have one of these. Paid £60 for it from Rutland cycling. Mainly for cleaning and general maintenance on the road bike.
A very good piece of kit for the price. Quite sturdy (mine does wobble creak when rotating pedals etc but may be the slightly uneven slabs). I don't know if it'd be suitable for a heavier MTB, I use mine for the Defy 2 road bike and does everything I need from it.
Definitely recommended.

Being a cheapskate for service my T3 is suspended from my shed ceiling by two webbing straps one under saddle one round handlebars

Ordered a workstand, (as SuperSuperLeeds suggested, http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004GHF4YU/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00) on Monday, it arrived at 3pm today, was assembled and in my workshop with a bike on it at 3.23pm. I'm well happy, a good investment if you ask me.
